Cartwheel Cakes

Round cakes baked in individual molds – the more common sweet variety are filled with red (azuki) beans, black sesame, peanut paste or a buttery custard; the “salty” variety are stuffed with dried shredded radish (daikon) and other ingredients.

今川焼(大判焼)

鋳型で焼いた丸いおやきで、中にはあずき・ゴマ・クリームなどの餡が入っている。切り干し大根入りの塩味もある。紅豆餅とも呼ばれる。
